Alcazar Segovia photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow During the Middle Ages the monarchs of Castile made the Alcazar a frequent place of residence. The castle was a key fortress for control over the Castile region of Spain. Not long ago a passage was
discovered that led to the discovery of a Roman stronghold of ancient Segovia, thanks to a document found in the Vatican’s Library. The stronghold had the same stone as the Aqueduct.
