extent, which was built by Angkor's greatest king,
Jayavarman VII who ruled between 1181 and 1201. The sandstone ruins cover nine square km area and include a Hindu temple with a high pyramidal tower at it centre and surrounded by a larger temple complex and several buildings and monuments.
