Barka Castle photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow Barka castle is located only a few hundred meters from the shore of the Gulf of Oman.
It actually comprised of two strongholds, one from Ya’arubi times inside the other from the
later Al Bu Said dynasty.
The towers offer an excellent view of the surrounding area and out to sea.
