Christ the Saviour Church photo copyrighted by: Galen R. Frysinger The church was later demolished in 1933 on Stalin's
orders, but was built anew in the 1990s. With the end of the Soviet rule, the Russian Orthodox Church received permission to rebuild the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in February 1990.
