Orangerie Schloss Charlottenburg photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow the palace was later extended into a stately building
with a cours d`honneur. In 1740-46 the New Wing with two banqueting halls was built on to the east end of the Palace by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff for Frederick the Great, forming a counterpart to the Orangery.
