Palacio de Real photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow Palacio de Real was completed in the reign of Ferdinand VI, and two further wings were added in the time of Charles III.The current King of Spain, Juan Carlos I lives in the more modest Zarzuela Palace outside of Madrid, but the Palacio Royal is still used for state occasions. The present decoration of the palace dates particulary from the 18th.
