Ryozen Kannon Statue photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow The statue is located between Kodaiji Temple and Ninenzaka, on the Higashiyama Path in estern Kyoto. At the northern end of Ninen-zaka is Ryozen Kannon, a memorial to the unknown Japanese soldiers who died in World War II, with a 24-meter-tall statue of Kannon.
