Siq Length photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow The Siq runs for a length of 1.2 km and in places is just 3 m wide, while the walls tower
up to a height of 200 m.
On the left of the siq is a water channel that brought water from a spring several miles
away into the heart of Petra.
