Buddhism introduced to China during the tang Dynasty that found particular popularity In Tibet. White Dagoba Temple is the oldest of its kind. It was built during the Yuan Dynasty, some 700 years ago, with the aid of Nepalese architects and scholars. Three such dagobas were built in China at the time, the other two being in Tibet and at Wutai Mountain in Shangxi Province.
