Tholos History photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow The Tholos Temple at Delphi is a circular building in Doric order, built in ca. 380 B.C.
The purpose of this elegant little building is not known for certain; it may have housed an
important statue.
Three columns and the entablature were re-erected in 1938, and it is one of the most
picturesque remains of Delphi.
