Gate Delhi photo copyrighted by: Brian McMorrow Gate Delhi is a gathering point for residents of Delhi, especially on summer nights. The large green lawns provide a relaxing green space for the city. The Duke of Connaught laid the foundation stone in 1921 and the monument was finished in 1931. The monument now also houses and eternal flame commemorating soldiers who died in the 1971 war with
Pakistan.
