The Temple of Bacchus, which many historians consider the
best-preserved Roman temple of its size, is part of Baalbek's
immense semiruins.The Temple of Bacchus is very well preserved, and is 69 m long on 36 m broad. The columns are 19 m high and support a
rich entablature and 42 columns surrounded the temple. It is Antonin the Pious in the year 150 which ordered the construction of the temple of Bacchus.
