Alcazar castle in Segovia, Spain, was first mentioned in records dating back to 1122 as a hill-fort set atop a rocky outcrop between the rivers Bergsma and Clamores. Moorish art is also seen in some of the decorations. he fortress was pivotal in gaining control of Castile, and it was from this castle that Isabella proceeded to the main square of Segovia to be crowned Queen of Castile.
